Hey Bloggers,
I've recently done a seminar for Philosophy class on extreme poverty and I've challenged my class and now I want to challenge YOU.
Extreme poverty is a big deal. But yet there isn't a lot one person can do. If we all make a commitment to go to http://freerice.com every day this can help save a life. It takes 5 minutes to fill a bowl of rice for a person who is hungry. How long do you spend on Facebook, Twitter or Blogging everyday? Is it right that we can make a commitment to our social medias but not to help extreme poverty? Instead of logging onto Facebook first can we answer questions on Free Rice and help a starving person? I know that I'm going to from now on. My class is also going to log onto Free Rice everyday this week, that's 20 people doing this 5 times. That's 100 lives we could be saving. Lets actually start using our social medias for something useful.
I sincerely hope that every person reading this will go onto http://freerice.com and fill a bowl of rice for someone in need.
- Cate :)
